Just want to make sure I got that straight. We've got a computer we ordered a couple of years back, and (purely my fault) we ordered it with XP Home instead of XP Pro (no difference in the price from Gateway, as I recall.)

When I turn my desktop on, Iget the black error screen, I let it choose safe configuration startup mode etc. I see the Windows XP page but it stops and keeps going back to the black screen?

Had to replace a bad hard drive. When attempting new install of Windows XP Home, Setup loads files, I agree to the licensing agreement, then I get the following message: Setup cannot find a previous version of Windows installed on your computer.
