When I try to upgrade right off I get an error about Windows 2000 installed
in a non-compatible system path.
Also I think my copy of Windows 2000 Pro is a bad copy. I got a refurbished
computer with 2000 Pro installed and now I can't view http:// based websites

I while back I was able to get my hand on a windows XP trial disc, i and
ended up buing windows XP afterward.   Since then, ive had to return the disc
(which I am unable to get use again, becuase it was lost) and I also happen
to lose my XP intall disc myslef.  I still have my XP ...

For years we have been using Ghost to clone machines. If we clone from
one box to a different box then windows would need repairing and after
that everything would be fine.

Dual boot system with ME on C: and XP Pro on D:

What's the best way to transfer files and settingsfrom an existing PC to a
brand new XP machine?  Some people suggest CAT5 crossover cable, others a
null modem serial cable.  Any comments/suggestions welcome.

We are upgrading our PC'c from XP to XP Professional.  After upgrade, when
the computer boots up there is a screen where there are duplicate Windows XP
Professionals to choose from.  After 10 seconds it automatically choosese the
default.

I installed a new DVD-ROM and then recieved NTLDR missing message. From
reading MS support it is a fault with fragmented NTLDR, OK, so I tried to
load my floppy boot disk, which does not recognise the Boot.ini and won't
load. Does anyone have any suggestions?

on xp/ntfs, by mistake, on hard drive first partition is d:, instead of c:
[c: is not existing]. xp is installed on that d:\
disk management tool allows "drive letter change". is it safe just to change
d: -> c: and expect os to be still bootable?

off course I am always asked to answer Y to run on next boot.
How can I get around this as I wish to setup the script to run like 2AM
