How do I changed the background image when
the PC is in a locked state (i.e. user logged on but workstation locked).

on the PC with Asus A8NVM-CSM, I got the GB controller configured  as auto
IP - everything set to default automatic.  I was able to ipconfig /release
or renew.  I can see the hub show activity for such activity.  However I
don't get any effective connection. Not even ping ...

My laptop has an OEM version of Windows XP Pro. I need SP2 in order for a
certain app to run.
When I install SP2, it seems to go through the process, OK. But, towards the
end, after installing files, it says "Running processes after Install." It

I have a DELL Demension 2400 that I ran F disk on and now tring to reload
Windows XP Home.  When I get to the installing part Windows XP Home, it goes

I have been trying to format my laptop HDD using the WinXP disk. I
insert the cd and follow the instructions for a new installation. When
I am prompted to select 'D' to delete the partition (I only have 1, C:)
it says that it cannot as there are setup files loaded onto the

I have new Thinkpad Z60 with 512M RAM and only MSOffice and a very few other
programs installed.  It's only 2 weeks old and it's already behaving in a way
that makes me miss the mainframe.  My 4 year old, fully crammed with junk
Thinkpad does much better running at half the speed ...
