I've been involved in system preparation for quite some time now.
I've been using sysprep on Win 2000, Win XP and some with Win 2003.
Up until now we've always wanted sysprep mini setup to stop and wait for us
to input the computer name.

Does installing using .msi requires windows installer installed?  and .exe
doesn't?
If so, under what circumstances would be an user NOT having windows
installer installed? My impression is that windows installer comes with OS.

I had some major issues with a computer to the point of no longer booting.
