Dear,
I format my disk from  DOS prompt and intall new XP SP2. When i log on
window at the first time I find out some file I have deleted in previous XP
till in the recycle bin.

I have created a ghost image using sysprep,  My open source version of XP
SP2, and my Microsoft VALID license. When I deploy the image to a PC
minisetup completes fine.  The PC reboots to what should be a login prompt
but I get this error message instead.

I have two users on my computer and want to use fast user switching. I tick
the fast user switching box as instructed, but after pushing apply, and
swiching into the activate fast user switching box, the box is always

I want to move my old harddisk to a new computer.  I have downloaded the
sysprep for windows xp sp2.  I run it and click on the factory.  Then it turn
off the computer. And I move the harddisk to the new computer.  It display
the screen like pressing 'F8' and reboot again.

Due to an attempt to overwrite a bad hardware driver that prevented normal
boot up, I tried to reinstall WindowsXP. The bad driver is preventing setup

Is there a way to find out if Windows XP was activated?
I just had to setup a new Gateway PC with XP Home version and I told it to
register to both Gateway and Microsoft but I did not get any screen that told
me everything went through OK.

When I run the file it unpacks but does not launch the setup.

I tried to install IIS on XP pro that was updated to SP2.  I got prompted
for SP2 CD for a DLL. So I placed the SP2 CD in drive, but it still can't
find it. I do know it has that dll in compressed form: something.dl_
Is this normal?

I just got a new computer with a new oem cd of XP Home.
The way I normally like to set one up is to make 2 partitions,
a C: and a D:.  Then I copy the i386 folder from the cd disk
to the D: drive and go to the i386 dir and run setup from there.

There is a little gray bar at the bottom of the window that tells me what's
going on in the window, like "applet started" and "done". Can I make this go
away?
