I just built a new computer and installed XP pro onto it.  Everything was
working perfectly until I used a USB connector to attach my laptop harddrive

The hard drive on my Toshiba laptop just died completely and
unexpectedly. I bought another drive but now I can't find the Windows

I just installed XP Pro from a windows disk all was going well until it had
trouble finding a file on the disk, the file was there a browsed to it, but i
gave up and contiued without it. pc seems fine XP working OK.

once I get to the screen that asks whether to install or quit. My keyboard

Anyone know how to change my computer's boot sequence so that my CD-ROM drive
is the first drive my computer looks for when starting up?  I need to run a
RAM diagnostic from a CD.

Just installed Windows HP Home edition - used New installation thinking it
would remove my old 98 operating system but its seems to have left it on one
of the hard drive partition.  Is it because C: drive where the 98 OS lived

Trying to reinstall XP Pro (after software testing) - deleted my 40GB
partition, booted from the CD, got "Setup is examining your hardware..." tehn
the screen goes blank.  That's it.  This is the same CD I've used to install
on the same hardware (no changes) before.
