Sysprep'd image, event 10020 04 Feb 2006 13:48 GMT6
I setup a machine, and included IIS.  Then Sysprep'd.  All machines brought
to life with this image are logging the following error in the event log.
I assume this has something to do with the machines being renamed during the
imaging process?  Any fix for this?  is this "bad"?
The Perfect Clone:  Am I doing this right?04 Feb 2006 03:52 GMT6
Okay, I think I have this sysprep/ghost stuff figured out...having
never done this before (I'm the parent-volunteer IT guy for my
daughter's grade school - with just enough knowledge to be dangerous).
I'd sincerely appreciate any of you pros out there commenting on this:

I'm trying to understand the three-time limit when using Sysprep.  I'm

small computer lab at a school (20 machines).  I'm working with a
retail licensed copy of Windows XP Pro.  Needless to say, I'd like to

Are OEM Product Keys scanable?03 Feb 2006 03:52 GMT4
I'm going to be deploying about 50 new computers that will all have Windows
XP OEM. I want to build a database with the product keys so I don't have to
crawl under the desks with a flashlight if I need to reinstall. But I doubt
my ability to type the keys in accurately.
