I get the following error message when trying to re-install XP: 28624 MB Disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on atapi (Setup cannot access this disk) I get a blue screen error message when I continue or try to format.

My notebook (a Sony Vaio VGN-S150P) refused to boot for the past couple of days, so I tried the vaio system recovery option to reinstall the OS in C:, but that didn't work either. Having ran out of options, I tried installing a clean copy of Win XP from a CD.

My customer had a hard drive crash using Windows 2000 Pro. We upgraded her to a bigger drive and XP HOME. But both 2000 and XP have this error when she tries to install any software. (XP was an upgrade). Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

If I mirror my boot drive onto a larger drive (using ghost or some drive manufacturer util) and then make that my boot drive is windows going to insist on reregistering? If so does it just do it or does it need me to re-enter the registration key? I don't think the person who

I installed some printer software and now when I boot up I get a "login screen" with an invitation "To begin, click your user name." I am the only user and I want to get rid of this stupid "login screen". Thanks for any help.

I got the sober worm and re-installed from backup discs. I have two drives, one very small and one large. I put it on the large one and would like to move it to the smaller drive. Its on the same computer. Is there an easy way to do this for a not to savy computer user?
