How to disable windows keyboard shortcuts?23 Feb 2006 15:51 GMT2
Hello.  I would like to let my daughter play some kid games (winnie the pooh,
Elmo, etc), but when she inadvertantly hits the keyboard she ends up hitting
the windows key, or alt-tab or ctrl-esc or some other keyboard "shortcut"
that ends up hi-jacking the application and kicks ...

I get the following error message when trying to re-install XP:
28624 MB Disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on atapi
(Setup cannot access this disk)
I get a blue screen error message when I continue or try to format.

My notebook (a Sony Vaio VGN-S150P) refused to boot for the past couple
of days, so I tried the vaio system recovery option to reinstall the OS
in C:, but that didn't work either.  Having ran out of options, I tried
installing a clean copy of Win XP from a CD.

I cannot install XP home because the set-up process is blocked by "Highpoint
HPT 366 Ultra DMA Controller".

My customer had a hard drive crash using Windows 2000 Pro.  We upgraded her
to a bigger drive and XP HOME.  But both 2000 and XP have this error when she
tries to install any software.  (XP was an upgrade).

If I mirror my boot drive onto a larger drive (using ghost or some
drive manufacturer util) and then make that my boot drive is windows
going to insist on reregistering? If so does it just do it or does it
need me to re-enter the registration key? I don't think the person who

I have 2 harddrives both with XP Home.  Since XP Home does not support the
dyanmic disk can I have XP Pro on the master and XP Home on the slave?

I installed some printer software and now when I boot up I get a
"login screen" with an invitation "To begin, click your user name."
I am the only user and I want to get rid of this stupid "login screen".

I got the sober worm and re-installed from backup discs. I have two drives,
one very small and one large. I put it on the large one and would like to
move it to the smaller drive. Its on the same computer. Is there an easy way
to do this for a not to savy computer user?

I just freshly installed XP64 on a new machine that I built.  I am already
finding problems with compatibility on several programs, including Office
2000.  I get "Internal Error 2324" when trying to install Office 2000.  
Anyone have this issue or others relating to compatibility ...

after my old machine's mobo gave up i bought a new XP Media machine
i added the old drive to the new machine and, through bootcfg, successfully
edited the boot.ini to give me access to both drives.
