my wife's laptop was stolen recently - but i still have the recovery discs containing windows xp - can i install windows using that disc on an old computer that currently uses windows ME? or, once it's been installed on one computer, will i be prevented from activating it?

My 40MB hard drive has plenty of free space but Local Disk C is only 10% free and Local Disk D is 89% free. I don't know why it is petitioned. Can I repartition or remove the partition?

Basically I used setup manager to create an unattend.txt answer file. My intent was to deploy XP via a GPO, and that is why I liked using setup manager because, as part of its processing, it modified the winnt32.msi file to take into account the unattend.txt file it created

This is a problem I am having with my laptop. I tried to reinstall XP, but for some reason my cd drive would not let me boot from cd, so i installed XP when XP was already running. it installed successfully, except my hard drive says there is about 40 GB
