Trying to do a fresh install of XP on my Compaq Presario 900 laptop when I go
to reformat the hard drive in NTFS it gets stuck at 22% and does nothing
more. When I do a quick format in NTFS I can get windows on but the system is
not running right slow slow slow.

I just put a copy of Windows XP SP2 on my PC, I ran all the update except the
two .net one because they fail to install. I have tried to install Norton
System works 2006 which will not install, I have tried to install the latest

Upgrading to XP Pro and late in the process the computer reboots and reboots
and reboots and reboots.... for over an hour.

When I try to shut down windows with the start button and the select turn off
