I have two identical systems (hardware wise) running Windows XP that
were built as master image machines for a cloning process using Ghost.
I would like to be able to compare the two machines to determine any
differences - i.e. system files that are different, different versions,

I recently upgraded my PC from Win 2000 to Win XP SP2. Ever since,
options like file right click, Edit-Save, file delete etc are extremely
slow. I did have a 2K version of Novell Client for Windows prior to
installing XP. I did not not uninstall it prior to installing XP.

I am using the OSD Feature pack in SMS in conjunction with the
ZeroTouchInstallation.vbs script to deploy operating systems.  When the ZTI
script attempts to connect to the SQL server 2005 databases I receive the
following error in the ZTI log.  

My system is partitioned into two drives, C and D.  When using XP's
Add/Remove Programs, the list is only populated with C drive content.  How
can I make it display programs that are on the D drive?

I need to reinstall my xp home edition, but i have lost the cd case with the
product key on it.  It is an OEM version that i installed myself.  Is there
anyway to get this information or do I have to buy a new copy of XP?  Since I
need the product key to re-install the OS.

Does anybody know where I can get a beta copy of this?  I would like to

I've run into a problem attempting to image using sysprep.
I created an image for desktops at our company and used sysprep to get it
ready for any hardware. it works perfectly for the desktops, but didn't work
for the laptops. I figured out that they have a different component ...

How do I either remove 1 or remove both and start from scratch?  I have the
Windows XP CD to put it back onto my pc.

1. can windows xp setup be run to perform formatting of the system partition
using a custom unit allocation size?
2. can windows xp be installed on a NTFS partition having non-default unit
allocation size (!= 4KB)?

Professional, and installed Service Pack 2 for Windows XP clients.
I was asked to create roaming profiles for all users, so I:
1) Setup a domain and joined all computers to the domain.

im trying to install xp on my machine, it used to have a 40gb, but ive got a
spare 80gb.
i unplugged the old 40gb, plugged in the spare 80gb, after booting from xp
cd, the setup starts, then black screen, just before the option to format.
