Excuse my ignorance but how do I update my ageing XP Pro SP1 to include
current uodates - WITHOUT an internet connection to the target PC but with
wireless laptops using XP Home?

I would like to capture some text which appears very briefly in the
intial black DOS-type screen which appear on Boot-up in XP Pro SP2
Can this be done with the Print Screen Button in XP ?
If not - does anyone know of any software which will do this ?

My company is getting ready to upgrade from 2K Pro to XP Pro & my boss wants

I'm trying to get RIS configured to fully automate client installs.
However, I just can't seem to be able to disable Windows Welcome walk
through from within the RIS .sif file. I am still prompted for Internet

I run into the following problem:
I installed the RIS component on a Windows 2000 Server. With the wizard I
created an image of a Windows XP Professional cd. I used an Windows XP
Professional SP2 OEM cd.

I bought my OEM version of Windows XP home along with other computer
components about 3 years ago. Recently my motherboard failed and I have
replaced it with an exact make and model. Now I gather the correct procedure

Now can I install again uing another XP CD on the top of my existing XP
without wiping off my software?

Does anybody know if it is possible to have have sysprep recursively
look through folders when setting up drivers instead of manually
specifying each folder?

I'm currently evaluating the use of one image file to be used across 7
different models of hardware.  The image includes all of the required drivers
and the sysprep.inf files includes the paths to these locations.  The problem
