Greetings, all. Excuse my ignorance but how do I update my ageing XP Pro SP1 to include current uodates - WITHOUT an internet connection to the target PC but with wireless laptops using XP Home?

I would like to capture some text which appears very briefly in the intial black DOS-type screen which appear on Boot-up in XP Pro SP2 Can this be done with the Print Screen Button in XP ? If not - does anyone know of any software which will do this ?
