I have a laptop running XP Home.  I want to install another copy of XP Home
on the laptop for gaming--my laptop has all this stuff running in the
background that affects performance and it would be nice to having a clean
install of Windows for this purpose.

I'm building an image to be used across 50 identical laptops. I've installed
all the required software/applications while logged into the image computer
as Admin. However, when I log in as a user very few of these applications are
available to the user.

I've got an XP pro SP1 laptop that won't boot.  Error msg reads something
like bad file c:\windows\system32\config\SYSTEM.  I was able to copy in
system, system.log, & system.sav from another identical laptop make/model

I'm using a slipstreamed version of Windows XP Professional SP2 and when I
boot from CD, there's no R option available to perform a repair install.  If
I use the original Windows XP cd-rom with no service packs on it, there's a

I'm trying to join a worksation into a domain but the Network ID tab is
greyed out in My Computer> Properties> Computer Name. I tried changing the
Local Security Policies to allow the change, but it was still greyed out,

Whoops!  I inititated an upgrade from W2K to XP by double clicking on
winnt32.
I was asked for the product key.  I'm planning on upgrading several more
computers when I've done one comfortable and so I didn't want to have to
