Today I was trying to upgrade a Compaq Presario machine that came
preinstalled with XP Home to XP Pro.  I booted into Home and put the
Pro disk in, ran the compatibility wizard and all came back fine.  No

It seems that I have "changed computer hardwae significantly" enough that
WinXP thinks it is a new computer.  After frying a motherboard earlier in the
year, I had to get a cheapo board as a stop-gap measure, and now that I got

OK, most or all of you are laughing.  Others will ask me why I tried and yet

This question may seem redundant, but after reading almost all posts about

- but did not activate it yet.  I want to uninstall it, going back to XP Home

In the old WIN98, upcaselock was made with the upcaselockkey but when you
did presse the normal upcase key you returned to small letter. Now you have
to press the upcaselockkey again which is a non sens. Is there a way to
change the parameter on XP
