Howdy, Just got a new Dell GX620 desktop and am trying to install XP prof. on it. During the file loading process, I've gotten 2 files that it's been unable to copy over to the Dell.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898594/ talks about installing the recovery console from the SP2 CD by running \i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons I have the SP2 CD purchased from Microsoft and no i386 directory exists on the CD nor is Winnt32.exe anywhere to be found.

i have a copy of win xp pro that recently started acting very slow so i decided to do a reinstall because that can usually clean it up. i built the computer myself and i installed windows perfectly on my original install but now on the reinstall it is hanging at 34 minutes
