Is it possible to preserve OEM pre-activation for XP Home?
In what situations can OEM preactivation be preserved, in general?
eg. do I need a special CD (OEM/retail) or do I just need the motherboard to
be the same as the OEM supplied?

Our techs each have to install an average of 2 XP Home and 1 XP Pro systems
per day. Given the time taken to do this, I want to automate the process as
much as possible. I will be using unattended files as much as possible, but
the main problem is with Windows Validation.

My 7 year old Dell Dimension 4100 has a 866mhz processor , 256 MB RAM,
and a  40 GB hard drive.  OK according to Microsoft, but  at least one  post
stated I REALLY need 512 MB RAM and a 1 GB Mhz processor.
Will the new system be slow as molasses on my old rig?
