I used the transfer wizard to transfer files and settings to the new computer. I am using an 80 gb drive in both computers. The C: drive went from 12 gb in use before, to 67 gb in use after the wizard. Is there a large saved file someone to get rid of?

Is it possible to preserve OEM pre-activation for XP Home? In what situations can OEM preactivation be preserved, in general? eg. do I need a special CD (OEM/retail) or do I just need the motherboard to be the same as the OEM supplied?

Our techs each have to install an average of 2 XP Home and 1 XP Pro systems per day. Given the time taken to do this, I want to automate the process as much as possible. I will be using unattended files as much as possible, but the main problem is with Windows Validation.

My 7 year old Dell Dimension 4100 has a 866mhz processor , 256 MB RAM, and a 40 GB hard drive. OK according to Microsoft, but at least one post stated I REALLY need 512 MB RAM and a 1 GB Mhz processor. Will the new system be slow as molasses on my old rig?
