When I went to install Windows XP Pro to the formatted Hard Drive I
received the following error messages.
Insert CD for Service Pack 1
Error I386/asms missing?

My XP Is corrupted. I want to reinstall it without affecting my Data,
Programs or Desktop.
How do I do that?

I’ve upgraded my PC and I’m trying, unsuccessfully, to re-install Windows XP
Professional.
My new hardware is: E6600 CPU; MSI P965 Platinum motherboard; 2GB Crucial

Recently cloned WinXP machine, loaded patches, etc.  If I remove the
USB drive (ext) the system hangs about the point where the screen
