A friend told me that if you have a registered copy of a  XP Pro install
disc, then Microsoft will send you another disc, if your original disc is in
a un- usable condition.
 Is this true ? And if so, where do I go to get a new install disc ?

After I install Windows XP SP2 update and the computer restarts, it does not
