Help, please. I had to replace a dying HDD. Used the Seagate CD to format
new HDD and copy all from old Maxtor HDD. Removed Maxtor and booted to
Seagate. Now System Restore won't start. Gives error 7023 - Cannot find the
specified path. %Systemroot%/System32/drivers

My daughter brought her laptop home for me to salvage her data off her HD.  I
can connect it via USB adapters to my laptop and it picks up and recognizes
the HD.  It does not show up in my computer, but in disk management it shows
as unallocated space.

Funny thing is I'm not running xp pro, never have.

I have been told that this a HUGE hidden "history" of my computer.  I let it
try for over 2 hours.  The CPU Performance usage in Task Manager is at 100%.

Upgraded to WinXP Pro a while back and now when I click start and all
programs just a few of my apps are showing. The only way to run apps is to go
