I just started working in China. I was just supplied with an IBM R52 laptop.
The laptop has a Chinese version of windows, and unfortuneatly I can not read
chinese. All of the menus etc are in chinese.
Is it possible to switch the language for XP? Can anyone suggest how I go

Can anyone advise me why my old WordPad files no longer open, I haven't
tried to open them for about a year, and the only thing that has changed on
my computer is the updates I have added as required, I think the word files
were originally saved from win98 but they still used to ...

My harddrive recently broke and I have the same OS CD used on two systems.
But when I tried to activate XP on my new HD, it said its been done too many
times.. I don't really see this as fair seeing as its not my fault the HD
broke... Help is greatly appreciated. :)

Got an PC with XP SP2 on it. The old hard drive inside was failing so
purchased new Hitachi Deskstar and use Ghost to clone old disk to new. This
kept failing on the first boot with a Stop 0x00000024 error.
The original disk then died so had to then reinstall XP onto new drive. I

Hi, I feel like such a retard, I moved all my files over to One of my Hard D.
because I was going to install a fresh copy of xp on the other. ANd I
accidentally deleted the a partition on the drive that had all my
info....Dowwww....

I have a toshiba laptop with windows xp sp2.  I tried to update windows using
Automatic Updates and as it completed downloading and insyalling the updates
files, it requested a restart.  I restarted the computer but then just before
it reaches the login page, it restarts again ...

How can I restore to an earlier state with a file recovery tool or undelete
tool ?

I have recycle bin set to not store deleted files. I was wondering if
there was a way or some software that would scan for deleted files and
recover as many as possible, and really do some digging for files
deleted.

How do I UNdelete files?
any free/shareware or registry tweaks available?

I have tried to resize my partition on my Hard Drive using Partition
Magic 8 and it now wont boot. The partition is there but windows XP
will not repair the partition as it says it is an unknown partition

I need to add comments to my folders. I found out that I need to add them in
the summary tab of the folder properties. However i dont find the summary tab
when i right click the folder and say properties. How do i enable the summary
tab ? Any help is greatly appreciated.
