I have a thumbdrive that I have used multiple times with different computers,
but the new computer we have at our office doesn't recognize it...it still
works at home and on different computers around the office...any suggestions?

Im running XP SP2 - with no further updates.
I recently noticed I have lost the permissions to access basic
functionality such as monitor settings or many functions in the control
panel. I get the error

I click on check Notebook computer & all I get is a bar with a light
scrolling, continuously. The check never is completed.

I seem to need an admin password different to my normal sign in password (
admin rights ) when in safe mode?
How does one change this if I have forgotten it ?
