when I log on to the computer the computer is now asking me for my password
and not allowing my son or wife to get to their sites. this just started to
happen this morning.What do I do?

I have a fairly new system with a 64 bit processor which came with XP
Home installed. I have upgraded to Pro edition and it has run very well
until recently. I successfully installed a wireless LAN and again the

I've been playing around again and for some reason I no longer have a sound
device installed and therefore, no sound for anything. In control panel -
sounds and audio devices - nothing is listed.

Hi. As the subject indicates I have two situations.
1) I have AOL installed on my XP PRO SP2 machine, however, I cannot get AOL
to work.  It chooses the TCP/IP connection type and it just hangs.  I have to
CTL+ALT+DEL to get to the Taskmanager to end the process. I am using 2WIRE ...

I am running win xp pro/media edition and have an asus A8N-E Mobo. I keep
getting an unknown device install and it seems to be something to do with

My computer locked up hard 3 days ago.  When I came back to it, the
mouse pointer was frozen.  I rebooted the computer, but when it came
back up, none of my usb devices were working.  Device manager lists the
two sets of USB connections on the computer, and I've tried

I have an DELL Dimension 2350 Computer running XP Pro. After installing some
updates, at least that is what they told me, everytime I boot up and login I
received this error:

whenever i go to start - log off - switch user...
it goes to the first windows screen where you see the list of users.. if i
click on another user, it just turns black and nothing ever happens.
I've discovered that I can log off of a user then open another, but just not
