Some few days ago I unwittingly contracted a piece of adware which advised me that I had virus' on my machine, and then installed a new desktop image telling me to buy their product. Naturally the agent was wiped out, and my original desktop returned.

Loaned my extra hard drive to my cousin so he could back up his files before wiping his computer. He saved the files to my WD 40G hd that was formatted NTFS. He wiped his computer and turned it back in as it was a rent to own.
