When I "run as" on power opt's as guest or limited ac't, there are two
choices - 1-default button is run as guest/limited, 2-second button I click
on and there are two boxes to log on as admin a- user name,b-password.
I look to the user name next to the admin logo as the user name ...

i am having problems with windows hosts files, after my pc security (avg)
detected a virus, and seamed to deal with it by quaretine, but since then i

Hi, bought a new laptop with XP Home already installed. An 'expert' removed
all the software and re-installed, but as I do not have the CD with the
software on it I do not know how to get Word, XL, etc. back.
Currently only have access to internet and email, no other Microsoft ...

I have no idea how i did it, but when i was getting rid of old programs i
dont use my games were deleted. i have the disks that came with my computer,
and i have tried the "add microsoft components" thing, but all that gave me
was the internet games. is the other games on a disk? ...

When clicking on a FOLDER, the search box opens.  I have determined that
somebody change the settings in
Folder Options -> File Types -> Folder.
But I am not sure how to go about getting it back to normal.

Can anyone tell me if drag and drop, i.e. copying, onto a dvd rw works with
windows xp? Or does it only work with cd rws?
I just recently upgraded from a cdrw to a dvdrw and everything works except
the drag and drop. It just tells me to insert a rewritable cd.

I cant get my mobo to boot to XP. no matter what i try it loop boots,

I have WinXP, Home Edition.  I can defrag my "C" drive, and just a few days
later, I check and it says I should defragment again.  I do not add
(install), or uninstall any programs.  What causes this?
