Starting last week, my programs can no longer "see" DirectX on my computer.
They report "DirectX not installed." I've tried re-installing the latest
version of DirectX 9.0c, rebooted, but still have the same problem.
Is there something in the registry that's messed up or a service ...

I recently bought a used lease-return computer. It has Windows XP
installed and the original Certificate of Authenticity on the case.
Is there any way to get a Windows XP disk for this computer?
If not what are my options if I ever have to reinstall Windows XP?
