here at the office we have several computers, all running xp that were
all named oddly - in an attempt to standardize the network, i've gone
and renamed them all to a standard format we came up with here.  they
all have worked except for one - it shows the computer on the network

I got called out to a friends who claimed that Word had disappeared from his
machine.
When I got there I checked the whole hard drive and discovered that the
whole of Microsoft Office had disappeared.

Hi. The the CD/DVD drive on my son's laptop stopped recognizing CDs,
(just makes noise) but  DVDS run fine from the drive.
So, for other reasons we want to reinstall WindowsXP, but as you know it

Using ToniArts EasyCleaner, the Startup Inspector shows the following
programs as starting:

After trying to connect my NVidia card to the TV (no luck), my Dell PC
shows only a blue screen with my wallpaper. There are no icons and no
taskbar. Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't work. Right-clicking on the desktop gives
the usual menu: "Show icons" is on. "NVidia display" shows "TV" and
