When I have  folder view set to display thumbnails I notice that there
isn't thumbnails for any of my AVI files despite the fact that I have
any number of programs on the PC that can play AVI files.  Is this
normal or can I fix this?

I am trying to use a program (Norton Save & Restore) that says I must
have Javascript. I have enabled Javascript on my IE7 and Mozzilla but
it still does not show Javascript in the 'Manage Add-ons' window of
Tools.

When I run a scan with Norton it shows 788,507 files. Does this seem
unusually high? I see that there are a large number of files in
windows\installers. I am unable to navigate to that folder. It does not
show up as a normal, system, or hidden folder in windows.

We use Lanpop on  W2k clients and it work very well.
Some of our newer clients have XP and Lanpop does not work properly.
Does anybody know of a fix for this?

Okay, here is my problem.
A few weeks ago my computer (laptop, running XP) began to freeze up
every time I pressed a key.  I went into device manager and next to my
keyboard there was a black exclamation point.  I tried everything to

I get a blue screen with a "User" box. I can not get past this. When I select

I'm using a Dell Inspiron laptop that has this tap to click feature when
using the touch pad.
Before I used to disable it by clicking on the Synaptics Pointing Device
icon in the tray and unchecking it. Now it does not have that option.

How do I downgrade from IE7 to IE6?  IBM tells me that ThinkVantage
System Update is incompatible with IE7, and to downgrade to IE6.  They
didn't say how, though.

i was wondering wich software i have to use to make a good backup of my hd.
It's not only  for the files but also for the os, so that when the system
fails i can put all things back excact as it was.
This includes files folders and everything else.

I had Vista installed and reinstalled XP instead.But now that XP is back on
my PC,it now shows that c drive is called D drive and the same for D drive
now called C drive,which did NOT show up that way when Vista was installed.
