Would anyone know of ... or use ... software called Registry Booster,
authored by Uniblue?
With a trial version of the software, upon scanning, it reports 461 errors
in my registry. Wow, this is a lot of errors. Is this type of software safe

I know this is a regular question and that there could be many

On some boot-up's, (more frequently than not!)
My PC displays an error message box (which halts boot untill action is taken)
Heading "Windows-No Disc"
Message "There is no disc in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive."

When I boot up my computer, Windows fails to launch. An error message shows,
stating that Windows cannot launch because hal.dll
cannot be found. However, only 2 hours before, I was able to start Windows
and run everything normally. I found a guide online:

I don't like the newer version of WMP, but when I try to rollback to
previous version, I am having a problem.  After clicking remove in add/remove
programs, it asks me if I want to confirm that I want to rollback, I click
OK and then it goes to the second confirmation window, but ...

My wife left her Dell Inspiron 5150 notebook (running Win XP
Pro) to go make coffee.  When she came back, the screen was dark.
Now, in a dark room you can just barely see the logon screen.  I
