Here's a real stumper! I need some advice from someone who really
understands the "guts" of Win XP!
I am using Win XP SP2, and I have recently lost the "New Bitmap Image"

Is there a way of working out if a screen is running with a classic or
windows xp style desktop?

While using an older HP computer with XP installed (presuming Home, it's not
my computer), suddenly it crashed.  Now, all it will do is constantly
reboot.  Just after the WinXP splash screen, it goes to the HP Invent logo
and starts all over.  Unable to get into safe mode, and she ...

When I boot XP ,after a minute I get a "rundll" error loading with a target of
"documentsandsettings/owner/systems.dll".
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Wondering if someone can lead me out of this labrynth...
Using the CD that came w/ my Dell, I attempted to do a Repair.
I booted from the CD and chose the Recovery Console option.  This
dropped me into a command console environment, and asked me to select

what is this thing clean boot? How is this different from restarting the
computer or turning it off and then on?

I'm trying to manage my PDF Add-ons as I have been having problems with PDF
images on Internet Explorer. The PDF Add-ons are currently disabled and I
think that is why I am having trouble with the PDF images.  I'm trying to

when i enter my password it says profile corrupt and stuff like that
an logs me in to temp profile, has my pc been hacked? or is it just
somthing else, and is there way for me to fix this witout losing my

For some reason I have lost all my toolbars when I get an internet screen
from Explorer 7. That is, I cannot even click on the "close" cross at the top
right-hand corner of the screen because it doesn't exist. How do I get the
tool bars back?

When I do a search either with MSN or Google it pulls up a list of links
based on the info I searched for. When I click on a link it takes me to a
totally different web site, quite often eBay or something else. I have run 3

We locked ourselves out of the administrator account on our desktop and had
