I tried to run disk cleanup as I normally do on a regular basis. This time however, it simply stalls. I noticed that it occupies some 99% of the processor ressources. difficult to relate this phenomenon to anything I may have done.

I don't know what winsock is - but I am frequently having problems displaying web pages an the windows diagnostic says there is a problem with the "winsock provider" It then repairs it and I have to reboot. Can anyone explain hwhat this problem is and how to permanently fix it?

Spyware or what? For some reason it was installed on my system, all my google searches say it is not malware, but I disagree: A service in the background was what was causing my system to lock up and go extremely slow, also caused my display to screw up. #ID_String1... whatever

I turned on my laptop this morning and tryed to play music, to discover there is no sound at all. The sound control has not been altered and it is not on mute, howevr when i put ear phones in i can hear sound. Does anyoine have any suggestions?

i have tried to manually windows updates and still comes up when i start the computer. wont let me do windows updates. if i click on the send error report or dont send it locks up. is there a fix for this. i think i happened when aol said i have mail, but not sure.
