I'm trying to access my C:/ drive in recovery console and have typed my administrator password in, yet I get the message, "Password Invalid" I have also tried just entering a blank screen, and this does not work either.

For whatever reason, this morning my computer would not boot into Windows (XP Pro SP2). I couldn't even get it to boot into SAFE mode. It would just hang. In desparation, I reloaded Windows XP from the setup disc and instructed it to overwrite the C:\Windows folder.

I have Windows XP Professional SP2, when try to defrag C: I found it fails becasue windows.edb is to big, 3 GB. I have some questions in this regards, is it normal this file size and getting bigger? Can I delete it?, or run any tool to defrag this file?
