I've got Windows XP and just increased my memory to 512mb. The current updates are taking forever--I'm on Day 3! Plus, my screen saver (moving polygons) hardly moves. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I use windows XP to login to my work computer from home, using my company's laptop. The process of scrolling is extremely slow. If I press an arrow to go downwards, I see a response about 7 seconds later or so.
