I manage several public XP PCs, and I often use msconfig to uncheck
prorgrams from starting on stratup. The problem now is that on one and
only one of them, I can only use msconfig when logged in as admin,
which means it only changes the stratup programs for that

I've downloaded and installed the ImageResizer PowerToy.  How do I use
it?  I would have thought it would just come up in the context menu,
right-clicking on a picture file.

After installing Outlook 2007, I want to remove OL 2003.  However, I cannot
find the CD.  Add & REmove does not let me remove it without that.

I have a Microdoft Windows XP Home Edition and I forgot my administrator
password. I really NEED to figure out how to get into my account soon. So if
anybody knows any ways to reset the password or something that would be a

I am reinstalling Windows XP home on my laptop and it is rejecting the
product key I have.  The original disk was damaged but I am using another
valid Windows XP Home disk, and I am attempting to use the product key that
came with the laptop.  Any suggestions?

In the search window, i cannot seem to configure the columns that come up.
In the old search, if you rt. click on the columns, there was a dropdown

I have an XP PC that will not reboot, it tries and comes up with an
error "missing operating system". I have to do a complete shutdown and
restart. I can't figure out why this is happening. Is there any way to

I'm trying to run system file checker and when I do I get a pop up window
that states "files that are required for windows to run properly must coppied
to the Dll Cache.  Insert you  Win XP CD.
When I do so, the windows screen opens and ask me what I want to do.

One morning my battery light was blinking, informing me that my battery was
dead, though my computer has been plugged in, not running off of my battery.
I leave my battery in my comp at all times, and plugged in.. So it never

I have a folder with about 30 subfolders.  It is sorted in inverse
date modified order.  For a couple of  years, when I added a new file
to one of the folders that folder changed positions -- came to the top
of the folder list.  A couple of months ago they stopped doing this.
