When i try to start my screen saver manually, I am not prompted for my
password.  Only if the screen saver begins on its own (after the set
time) does it prompt me for a password.  Any ideas on how to I can get
prompted for a password when I manually start my screen saver?

Recently, and it appears after installing most recent updates, I cannot get
the taskbar to hide whereas before there was no problem.  It will hide one
time only after going to properties and resetting it but after that it stays
present.  Help please!

I emailed myself a document to continue working on at home. When I got home,
I downloaded it, and I forgot to save it as a document on my desktop.  As I
worked on it, I continued to save it, but I never remembered to change the
location of the document.  It must be in my computer ...

In my Task Manager there is a process called 'svchost.exe' listed under
SYSTEM.   Often when starting up the computer, this process seems to run for
ages, using up nearly all (c.80%+) of my CPU usage and therefore slowing

I have had a look at the microsoft site for info about dual boot for win 95
and win 98se and I think to do it I have to install 95 first and then 98, is
that correct?
will that way creat a boot option to select win 95 or 98 at startup?

I know this is not Windows 2000, but I couldn't find a group for 2000. I have
2000 and I want to download the XP Energy blue or at least the XP main theme.
I have tried softpedia, but it wouldn't download. If there are more websites,

my window xp home crashed in my dell demention8400 i did a restore. not when
it's booting up  it shows an error and tells me to press F1 or F2.this never
happened before normally it goes right to log-on screen.it will go to log-on
upon hitting F1

When i minimize a page on my browser  ..for future use..then go to  click on
another web page..the minimized page comes on screen for 1 sec then
disappears altogeter while the web page i just clicked on appears and the
minimized page has gone. any ideas anyone

Useing start/turn off computer/turn off will shut down my compter, BUT it
start itself back up after about 5 or 10 mins later.
I normally shut down, then later when it tries to start back up ( stops at
my password screen) I then turn it off by pressing off button on my computer.

Why do I keep getting this error (The instruction at 0X00ee415e  referred
memory at 0X011fd058 the memory could not be read)

1.4 athlon operating at 1.3 with cpu temp of 70c at idle. thermal grease has
been replaced on the round evercool heatsink, h/s is hot. Also if I add a
slave hdd there is 1 sec. runtime then instant shutdown, no fans, nothing.
Unknown history on unit.

I have a service in my PC that although i have deleted it's .exe and disabled
it it's entry in the services list still remains.
Does anybody know what can i do to make disapear from the list?
