Hi, I have a problem with my computer shutting down and restarting for no
reason.  I have cleaned fan etc. and all is clean inside, and have scanned
for viruses and it's OK as well.  I was thinking maybe a short in the
electrical supply, any other suggestions?  Thanks

You need a PCI raid card to use 160GB and higher IDE PATA (>>P<<ATA)
hard drives with Windows 98/Me because of the 137GB operating system
limit, right?
What about SATA (>>S<<ATA) 160 GB and up drives?

I have Windows XP SP2.  I tried running the System Configuration Utility
(msconfig) to see what programs are run on Startup.  But in the Startup
list I see four entries for which both Startup Item and Command are
totally blank.

Can't work out how to fix this problem. It seems to have started when
a Vista skin (but not Vista itself) was installed on my PC, which is
running XP Service Pack 2. It was uninstalled about a week later as I
didn't like it but ever since then I get some - but not all - dialogue

I had a software problem with Verizon.  The tech had me do a hard reset on
the PDA (Treo 650).   He then told to do a hot sync.  Unfortunately what he
didn't tell me to do was give the command of Desktop over rides the PDA.

I have a laptop that is configured for my office domain.
I also have a home network that has a workgroup.
I would really like to be able to access the storage on other computers from
my laptop, but can't figure out how to do that without disabling the domain.

I have had the same problem as others in this group with XP randomly
asking for a password. I have two user accounts one with a password
and one without. It is annoying and sometimes logging off and on fixes
this or rebooting will.
