As it says in the subject, my drop downs disappear when I try to
select with the mouse, e.g., the time selection drop down when adding
a meeting in outlook.
If I keep the mouse away from the drop down, I can select the time

I've somehow lost the small desktop icon next to 'Start' which closes all
windows and gives immediate access to the desktop.
How do I get it back?

A couple of years ago I bought a Veo Web Camera V300000 that works
well with XP.  However the driver CD doesn't support Vista (a message
from it so indicates), and just plugging the camera into a USB port
produces a message stating that Windows was unable to find a driver for

When I got to install XP, full, over ME I get this error that the computer
stopped so not to harm the computer.  It says:   bad_pool_error
What is that and how do I fix it.

I have an episode of Father Ted and I want to copy this to disk and watch it
on my dvd player. I have some blanl cd-r disks and I want to knw if its
possible to convert and copy this file so I can watch it on my dvd player.

I am running Windows XP and I had 2 serial ATA drives on my ASUS
Motherboard and was using the RAID Stripe option.
Anyhow, I installed a new video card, and first boot gave me a blue

In Add/Remove Programs most of my programs do not have a change/Remove
button. What do I need to do. Pleeeeeesssseeeee help.

When I go to uninstall a program I get a message box saying "Could not open
INSTALL>LOG FILES"

Hope someone can help.  I have windows xp professional.  The shared
documents folder seems to have renamed itself  "documents".  It won't let me
rename it back.  System restore did not fix it.  The documents are still
there.  I found a thread on this topic, but it was not helpful ...

A few days ago my laptop started playing up. I turned it on, as normal, and
then a few  minutes after starting up (2 or 3 minutes) it doesn't want to
respond to anything.
I click on a shortcut on my desktop - doesn't do anything

I have an emachine desktop computer, and I am trying to install it. The
directions say that I have to remove the hardrive cover,a dn I'm not sure how
to do that, I don't see any way that I can take it off.  I have a T3104 model
computer, and can anyone help?

I cannot download the Tweak UI for Win xp.  I rececive an error message:
-- My Documents\TweakUIPowertoySetup_ia64.exe is not a valid Win32

Hello I've been running WinXPhome for sometime on an Emachne that
came loaded with it. But started having problems with Quicken and then
ran Regcure and it trashed my machine where various software won't run.
So I decided to reinstall XP from an OEM disk I bought

When I run my registry cleaner (TweakNow), it gets hung up on a
Hkey_local_machine, software file: microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall
{FB4740B3-2530-4520-A8A825-F7AB246CA7DF}.  It's never done this before.  Is
it safe to delete?

A friend of mine has AOL dialup. She say's that sometimes she can hear AOL
trying to dialup and connect when she is on
the telephone. How can she stop this from happening?
