my son was playing with my computer and has managed to change my display screen to view horizontaly instead of vertically. Can anyone help me to restore my screen back to a vertical view?

I recently updated to service pack 2 on my Compaq machine. Not sure of this has anything to do with my problem or not. When I turn it on and after it boots up my screen will go blank. It happens about 30 seconds after it boots up..I will see the desktop then it goes blank

when i put the memory card into my computer, it usually opens automatically, or i go in through My Computer. now, it doesnt open and i dont have the option through My computer (none of the removable storage drives are there... they are usually a letter ie. "G".)
