OE6 receives some e-mails then freezes26 May 2007 01:44 GMT2
I use WinXP SP2 with a 735 MHZ processor and 368 MB RAM and my copy of
Outlook Express 6 can send all my e-mails, but receives only some of my
e-mails but then just freezes. The animation of the receiving arrow still
moves but it's like the connection goes dead.

I've been having the Adobe Reader installed on my computer for awhile and

Is it possible to delete files permanently?
I have deleted files and found them with recover my files program, get data
program. The program hadn't recovered all through past month files because

I have just all of a sudden lost my sound.  In the device manager the
soundblaster audigy icon has a yellow icon with ex. mark in it.  Could

Right clicking a folder on my system and selecting "Sharing and Security"
from the displayed menu yields a dialog box that has no "Share this folder
on the network" checkbox available.  Is this OK?

outlook express hangs when attaching any file25 May 2007 18:46 GMT3
When I attach a file of any size in Outlook Express it now takes 5 minutes.
The program hangs until the file is finally attached.
The same thing happens in Thunderbird, so it looks like something is wrong
in XP, not the email program.

Recently My hard drive itself has started making a beeping/buzzing
noise,after some testing it seems to occur more so when running an online
game,however it is not consistent.

Having discovered an illegitimate key at a new clients' site, I used the MS
provided key changer to change the key to a legitimate OEM copy that
originally came with the machine. That went fine. On reboot however, XP says
it needs to activate itself and has an "ok" button only ...
