Not sure where to start, but I have Googled for any clues as to why my
system will experience a font corruption once or so a day which will
then require a reboot.  Reboot is performed because the event causes

I have couple of  bat files which I used to access from a desktop short cut
when my XP machine got troublesome, or I wanted a quick log off.
These no longer respond but produce an error message.

The files appear to be left-over email attachments of zero bytes in My
Documents and Temporary Internet Files.  Rootkit Revealer says 26
bytes.  The error message is "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from
source file or disk".  Safe mode doesn't work. CCleaner doesn't work.
