Am trying to install a program but I keep getting the following
message:
*Error 1406 - Could not write value AppInit_DLLs to
key\software\microsoft\windows NT\Current

My Windows XP Home machine (Toshiba Satellite) reboots periodically
and for no apparent reason.  I checked the error log, and the Fatal

Hi all, can some one please help. When I download a music file, the file
automaticly goes in to some "tempoary folder". I cant work out what is going
on and cant find any temp folder.
It would be awsome if someone knows what is going on because I don't LoL

The software is installed and runs without any problem, but the above error
message appears multiple times at start-up / user loggin.

When i try to select a wallpaper the preview screen is just blank and i
cannot scroll through the wallpapers. My Desktop is just plain blue. If i
right click a pic and click set as background that wont work either. Doesnt
anyone know how to fix this please???????

I can not install any software on my PC because the Windows Installer is
corrupted. The PC is running Windows XP Pro SP2 with all the latest updates
and patches.
Here are the messages from the Windows Installer.

For the last month, every time I open a Word document, I get a wlf.ini folder
created in the same directory. Why? It says it's a "configuration setting"
but for what? It never used to happen. I've got hundreds of them now!
