I have tried every way I can, but am still not getting a dial tone when i try
to fax, I have windows xp home and my fax system is connected however i do
not have the disks for xp as it came with my computer...I'm pretty sure I am
doing something wrong...please help

Every time I boot my system I get a screen saying something about a recent
hardware/software change caused the system to improperly shut down (I think).
Then it asks how I want to restart and gives me the following choices:

I'm looking to buy a new desktop. They nearly all come with Vista
pre-installed but I want to dual boot with XPHome and Vista Premium.
I've heard that I would need to remove Vista first before I can instal
XP. Is that because I need to create a partition to take XPHome?

Hi, I am having trouble with a fairly new, XP laptop. I can't type in boxes,
such a search boxes, username/password boxes, you know the kind of thing. I'm
currently on a friends laptop, as this is exactly the type of thing I can't
do on my laptop anymore!

I want to make and use Yahoo as my default email application but Yahoo
is not listed when I go to and open "internet options, then the
internet properties window.
How do I add or delete any thing there.

Long ago, i created a folder 222 on the deskop to store copied files. At the
end of the session, i delete the folder sucessfully.. A few days later, the
folder auomaticallly appear on the desktop whenever i connect & download
files from any media or downloading files from the net ...

     How do i add this newsgroup in my outlook 2003? what should i

I think my computer has been completely screwd up.
Kids installing all sorts of games and experimenting with the system, it has
become extremely unstable with problems like:
1. Very very slow

we have sold a customer a PC running XP HOME now this is the 2nd PC we have
given them the 1st was replaced as it was getting similar errors
the PC would not go into windows i believe we did a repair to the
installation and it then booted again

Is there any way to remove duplicate entries in the 'Add or Remove Programs'
window?

Since yesterday, every so often I get a window prompting me for a dialup
connection - with connect/settings/cancel buttons.  I have an active
broadband connection.   Why do I get this message and how can I turn it off?

How do you merge a "*.reg* file into the registry of the current machine
using a batch file?
