Why has Windows xp pro made my C: drive be a "removable" device? This bothers me, it actually is an internal SATA drive. This is a new computer that I am setting up and everything works it should, except that the C: drive is thought to be a removable device.

I just bought a 80 gig hd to replace a rather full 40 gig hd. How do I transfer all the files, operating system and settings. Can I just copy the drive to the new drive? Thx in advance for your help, Jeff

For some reason, my XP Pro box keeps defaulting to 16 bit color when restarted. I change it back to 32 bit, but it changes on restart back to 16 bit. Has anyone seen this odd behaviour before?

sheesh this is frustrating. first the drives door will not open, then after i get it open, it will not stay shut. it will not read any of my cd's. when i go to check out the drive under properties, it says its running normally, yet the space is all used up. can anyone help????? ...

I am sure this is something that must have come up before but, although I have searched, I haven't found any references to this actual problem. When my machine is connected to the Internet it will not go into Hibernate after the inactivity time preset in the Power Option
