Can anyone tell me how the list of ports in Start\Printers&Faxes\Printer\Properties\Ports are generated ? Are the ports in the registry? I'm seeing COM, LPT and my USB laser printer ports all duplicated?

Is it true that if you have a router with Windows firewall you have a pseudo firewall built in to your system? I heard that the router itself acts as a firewall. But I don't know if this is true. Educate me?
