I just had XP pro reinstalled on my pc,every thing is fine except the mouse. It refuses to start up, the only way to get it to work is to pull out the USB and stick it back in and it works strait away.

I have an HP Officejet 5510v that came with a disk that has HP Director on it. If I wanted to scan something, I started the HP Director and could, among other things, scan a document to PDF or to an editable text document (OCR).

Can't tell motherboard to set my SATA Drive to boot array, areas are grayed out and I can't highlight it. Wanted to use my OS on my large 300GB SATA, I'm not sure if the bios up-dates that I have seen will be what I want to happen or something more detrimental to my system.

I enabled 'Remote Desktop', and switched windows firewall off, however port 3389 does not appear open nor closed when I nmaped the host. What am I missing? Regards,

Not sure how it happened but the drive icons I used to see when opening MY COMPUTER, have been replaced by a generic icons. Is there a way to restore the original system icons for the hard drives that were installed with XP Pro?
