I just loaded XP Home Edition on a older Pentium 4 PC, office 3003, and
Symantec Corporate Edition A/V on the PC.  After performing the automatic
updates (79 of them) and restarting the PC, I get a "Scan out of the range"
error and it won't do anything else.  I have not seen or ...

Windows gives the following error when I attempt to open Excel (Office 2003):
"The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Microsoft Shared\office 11\mso.dll
is not a valid WIndows image.  Please check this against your installation
diskette."

this is a pretty new system. I use external usb drives.
occassionally they are not recognised in my computer.
previously saved documents cannot be opened form Word either.
i do not have one of those "It's safe to remove the USB device now"

I am running XP Pro SP2.  I have had a strange thing happen to Tas
Manager.  Whenever I'd access it before (through CTR+ALT+DEL or throug
the taskbar menu), I'd get a number of different option, such as activ
tasks, programs running (including the memory and CPU they were using)

Brand new Dell XPS 410 running XP Media Center. The Did You Know section of
Help and Support will not access the internet to update. Displays standard
message to set up an internet service. There is nothing wrong with my
internet access--all other programs connect properly.

For some reason my mouse is always jumpy and when I try to scroll down
it has a "wave " effect and no smooth scrolling in MSN websites. Any
suggestions? Thank you

Have me a computer with two drives set up as raid 1 (mirror) on a adaptec
1200 raid controller. Tryed to reinstall XP onto those but it wont restart
from Hdd during the instalation. Can I get this to work at all ?

I installed XPPro.  Later I set up RAID1 in BIOS.  Scan for New hardware
would not find it.  Device manager shows:
Disk Drives > VIA SATA RAID 1 SCSI Disk device.
SCSI and RAID Controllers > VIA SATA RAID Controller.

Task Manager shows one of my CPUs as close to 100%.  But the process list shows the System Idle
Process at 97%.
Process Explorer shows:

Am trying to reinstall/repair XP Home on my computer via the CD..
The process started, got to 35mins left and a blue scren with the following
mesage appeared
" a problem has ben detctected and windows has been shut down"

I have recently used Google Groups to first solve my problem of
getting my Greetings 99 program to work on my Windows XP system.  The
problem was resolved by recovering and compacting the clip gallery
files.  But now I have a new problem.

I own 2 copies of WinXP Pro OEM 32 bit Service Pack 2 for each of my
computers. I have 4GB RAM installed on my Biostar T Force 4U Board. 4 GB
show in the POST. In My Computer only 3GB are shown. I understand this
