I keep getting updates every 2 to 3 minutes. I would like to know why and how
do I stop it. I have my updates at once a day, but not every 3 minutes.
Please HELP!

It used to be that, when I'd put the compact flash card from my

I am having a problem with sound that was OK and now it is acting strange. I
can play DVD's and sound is fine, I can play MP3 files stored on computer and
sound is fine. However I have no system sounds, no game sounds i.e. pinball
and for example my son plays a Star Wars game ...

I had a tech support guy tell me that my Tahoma fonts 'might' be messed up.  
So he proceeded to 'update' the Tahoma.ttf and the Tahoma (True Type).ttf
fonts (evidently).  He also changed the Desktop font properties from Normal

I was given desktop pc that originally used a Smartlink modem to access
network via dialup.
I now have ADSL  broadband but the device manager still shows this
modem even though I do not have it.

If I configured everything and it is registered to my user name and someone
else with Admin rights uses the same pc, how do I keep them from being able
to view my files?

I just rebuilt my machine.  I have an 80Gb drive that is partitioned into 3
drives.  Drives "C", "O" and "T".  I converted the drives from Basic to
Dynamic.  I also compressed all three drives.
Now, here's the issue that I am having.  When I go into the System Restore,

I'm an administrator on my XP Pro SP2 machine.
I have a hard drive attached to my machine via a USB 2.0 drive enclosure
(I'm not sure if this fact is even relevant). I can use the drive with no
problems. When I right click on the drive letter and view properties,
