My IE settings stop popups.  I have a friend who has a laptop that
runs XP that someone else modified so that it does not show popups.
However, she is going to a web site on the CBEST (for substitute
teaching) and the site itself has many popups it is supposed to have.

attempting to repair a friends PC that was LOADED with virus/trojans,
