I have just noticed a problem on my wife's computer.
The window that opens when I click Start/All Programs is too low down
the screen. There is a half inch gap at the top and the bottom is off
the bottom of the screen. I cannot repeat this problem with any other

I have Dell laptop with "Window XP Media Center". Currenlty when I restart it
, it shows only microsoft icon with blue screen in background and hangs
there, but after that it doen't bring "logon" screen(eventhough I press
Alt+Ctrl+Del).

I get an error message and then try to update drivers, still no movie.

How do I erase all the stuff from my old laptop PC's.....before donating
them to others?????

      I got licensed version of windows XP Professional . Now I want to
format my Hard disk. So, how can i backup my license  so  that  i can  use  
it  after  re installation of my OS.

I am unable to download this recent update for Windows XP as it gives a "File

I recently recieved a pc from a friend that I am working on in an attempt to
turn it into a (usable) media center pc. However, whenever I try to play a
song, sound, midi, etc, I get the error message that the sound card is not
found and to try and install the device/driver.

Hi can anyone help please. when iv got radio on through internet they are
talking like they jus ad mouth full of helium. iv tried to adjust it but
without success.

Windows XP home SP2 plus all update... Some of the window system
options/menus are in a foreighn language. Also when I select sharing and
securities from a menu on a folder/file I get eh properties box instead.

This problem has never happened before, only started yesterday. I tried
booting in safe mode, but the same error occurs. In case it'll help,
this is the error signature that generates from the error report:
AppName: explorer.exe

I had to reinstall Windows, my wife had files she really needed under her My
Documents folder.  When I reinstalled the folder is still there, but it says
access is denied, is there anyway I can recover these files?

*Suddenly*, Internet explorer *has started* to forget cookies on *all
websites*, so I keep having to log in again.
Rather annoying, anyone have an idea why this has happened?
