Recently encountered a similar problem with Quicktime and Google
Earth.  Both of these are recently installed programs and neither has
ever run properly.

Now wish to remove the Vista installation from my present WinXP SP2 machine
that has a dual boot set up using the Vista program.
Vista resides on the same HD along with Windows XP obviously in separate

Wnen I want to shutdown I have to click on:
Start, Turn off computer, Turn off,
and do this twice before my pc will shutdown.
Any suggestions?

I cannot install any of the new programs I have either downloaded or
purchased as my computer tells me that Error 1500 "another installation is in
progress"and I must finish that installation before I can install the one I
want to install.

Here the basics.  I was having problems with my wireless linksys internet

When I open a Remote Assistance session with my mother via the Internet the
connection completes OK and I can view her desktop.  However, the Take
Control and other selections are all missing from the view.

I just inherited a Windows XP desktop PC that hasn't been used for awhile.
Unfortunately, I don't know the Windows password so I can't even get to the
Desktop.  I tried booting up in Safe Mode but the Admin account was password
protected, too.

I am running XP home edition.  hit the auto update in the tray, went through
the process, hit the button to restart to complete the download, now my
computer wont start.  goes through the boot process, flashes a blue screen
with some text on it, then restarts again.

Yesterday, I downloaded 194 jpg photos from my digital camera to a large,
