It seems Windows XP is confused. Whenever I open a window, it opens up in a
minimized window. When I try to maximize, the window gets smaller. When I try
to minimize, it gets bigger.
Even if it was backwards, I still can't get it to a maximize screen.

and I have to re-boot the laptop.
What does PID 1212 (Network Service) do, and can I stop it from happening,

I just started getting a svchost.exe error when I reboot my machine.
Nothing new has been installed on it hardware or software wise, and I can't
find any articles about this particular message.  Can anyone help?

I am still unable to view video clips, for example at www.weather.com.  I
have the latest version of Real Player and Media Player.  I have 2 gigs of

have an omega ext HDD and its been allocated "J" drive until recently, it
wasn't plugged in and a card reader took over the "J" and now HDD is
"K"...no big deal but meant some shortcuts needed fixing to find drive. how

I have a stickler with my home PC that occured last night sometime and could
really use some pointers.  Windows XP Professional, SP2 + all current
updates.  Fairly clean, recent install.  Only system tools running are Norton
