It seems Windows XP is confused. Whenever I open a window, it opens up in a minimized window. When I try to maximize, the window gets smaller. When I try to minimize, it gets bigger. Even if it was backwards, I still can't get it to a maximize screen.

have an omega ext HDD and its been allocated "J" drive until recently, it wasn't plugged in and a card reader took over the "J" and now HDD is "K"...no big deal but meant some shortcuts needed fixing to find drive. how in future can I manually change the drive allocation?
